Miscellanous - 7 Steps to be a Good Writer

Image
Habit #1: Writing To be a serious writer, you have to write. Yes, that’s obvious. But I’ve met a lot of would-be writers who don’t actually write on a regular basis. Maybe you’re one of them. You’d love to call yourself a “writer”, but most weeks, you don’t really get anything written. You have plans, sure. You read writing magazines or blogs. Perhaps you feel that you’re not quite ready to write yet – you’re not good enough yet. Unfortunately, you won’t get any better at writing unless you actually write. I know it’s tough. I know that it’s really hard to get over that resistance to write – which can seem almost insurmountable at times. (Kyeli has a great piece here about this, The really good stuff is worth working really hard for.) You can do it. Writing “regularly” is key here. That doesn’t mean you have to write every single day. If you can write every other day – three or four days a week – that’s fine. Even if you can only write once or twice a week,

Miscellaneous - Lessons to learn

Lesson # 1: Naked Wife A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower when the doorbell rings. The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs. When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next door neighbor. Before she says a word, Bob says, "I'll give you $800 to drop that towel." Making the total women tally 66 in a House of 342 which is far less than the number 76 in 2008. Those Lucky-6 are Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Azra Pechuho and Faryal Talpur from PPPP, Sumaira Malik, Ghulam Bibi Bharwana and Saira Afzal Tarar from PML-N. Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Samina Khalid Ghurki, Marvi Memon, Shazia Marri are some prominent female ex-parliamentarians, who were out-numbered in the elections this time but Lucky them, they were brought back on Women-Reserved Seats. Despite these Old bullies, New Faces are also introduced which are mostly mother-daughter-wife of some ex or present Politician. This list includes Rida Khan (daughter of PML-N information secretary Mushahidullah Khan), Dr Nafisa Shah (daughter of Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah), Zeb Jafar (daughter of PML-N's Chaudhry Zaffar Iqbal) and Shaista
